Shachi Srivastava, The Artist Notes

I have created collections of artworks and in this section, I have written a short note on each of them. About what they mean and symbolize.

Collections and Series of Artworks

Rudra Kedar; a collection of paintings/artworks made of Lord Shiva of Kedarnath, where due to flash floods, there have been a lot of calamity and disasters, with many lives lost and many injured.

Mudra; a collection inspired by the ancient statues from India and/or Classical Indian Dance forms which uses the grace and elegance of the ancient statues. Mudra means a symbolic hand gesture or a pose.

Zentangle; a the collection of all the work made using the Zentangle Art Form.

Stoned; a Collection of all the artworks inspired from the Ancient Indian/South Asian Statues.

Indian Folk Art Styles;  a collection of all the artwork made using various Folk Arts of India like Madhubani Art from Bihar,  Warli Art from Maharashtra, Rangoli, Mehandi/Henna designs and Kalamkari art.

Matritwa; a collection of all the artworks made on Motherhood, and called as "Matritwa - The Divine Love"!

Matritwa means Motherhood which depicts a mother's love and devotion to her child. The eternal neverending love & bonding between the two is God's amazing Creation. Most of my creations from Matritwa are Faceless, because I believe motherhood can't be expressed with a face; for the love so pure and divine is best expressed without any defined expressions.

Festivals Of India; a collections of paintings or artworks made based on the festivals of India.
